The perfect Caribbean cottage, only 100 paces from the water, Barefoot Bliss (formerly Flip Flops) is located in West Bay Village, an oasis of privately owned homes on West Bay Beach. Private and convenient, this location is unbeatable, close to the walkable amenities of West Bay Beach yet secluded and private surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
Just 200 meters swim off the beach you will encounter amazing snorkeling & diving, exploring our reefs could not be easier! Additionally, there are multiple dive shops within a short walk of the house.
This home offers an island style charm all of its own. It has a master bedroom with Serta Perfect Sleeper king bed & en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom can be configured as two twins or a king and extra guests can be accommodated on a new sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress. There is a second bathroom with twin sinks and large shower. Both bedrooms have separate split unit air conditioners.
A large, open dining area adjoins the fully equipped kitchen which leads through to the large living room adorned with original Cuban artwork, couches, easy chairs and cable T.V.
Outdoors is a grilling table and spacious grill deck, a great place to kick back and grill under the stars. You can also dine under cover on the main deck. The main front deck is screened in so guests can enjoy the space bug-free!
Barefoot Bliss is located in the sanctuary of West Bay Village, a cozy collection of 8 Caribbean-style homes located right on West Bay Beach. Each home is private in its own space, yet close enough to your neighbor to make it easy for a quick visit. This area is popular with groups due to this convenient and private arrangement of the homes. There is a beach area that offers all WBV guests beach loungers and a marked swim area.

The property was really nice. A bit too outdated and could use better lightning as it got super darks. Would have prefer to have better access to the bathroom from the top bedroom but overall was a good stay. Loved KD House, so quaint and perfect location. Its nicre to spread out and not be stuck in a one room hotel! The price for the house is so reasonable. I would only suggest maybe supplying candles for the blackouts or more flashlights. And maybe citronella candles for the mozzys!

I had a wonderful experience working with Shanna from day -1 to day 0 when we checked out at a convenient time to meet our return flight. She was always around to check on us to see if we needed anything, Rene the Caretaker kept the area immaculate, The Flower Girl, The Security Personnel. They were all a complete team at our disposal and that was a great feeling knowing they were there to help.

The only drawbacks (2) that I found was with the Refrigerator. The size was too small and could be of better quality. Our stay was over 15 days and needed to have a bigger refrigerator in order to hold our drinking water and other groceries that required refrigeration. The Stove needs to be changed or upgraded in order to better suit the purposes of a stove. The number of stove top burners should be kept the same, but the oven needs to be able to function properly as we were unable to bake some foods without burning them and rendering them useless. Cookies, Mac and Cheese, Chicken as well as other meats had to be discarded because we had no idea what temperature the oven was at when baking. We gave it a couple of tries and then gave up. Those are (2) easy fixes that I am sure can and will be corrected for future guess. Cannot comment on #10 as we brought all our kitchen utensils but I am sure they would have met expectations. Cannot wait to get back to KD's if you will have us in the future as we treated the house as we would like others to treat ours. REPLY: Thank you very much for your comments. The owners have already purchased a new, larger refrigerator and we've had the stove serviced. We would love to have you back, your group was great!

KD's house was very clean and well stocked. It would be a deffinate asset if a small bathroom containing a toilet and sink were to be added to the upstairs bedroom, as the circular stairs can be very hard to navigate during the night. Ryan was wonderful and checked on us several time during our stay which I didn't expect. Ruth was also great and was happy to answer any question I had about the vacation prior to our arrival.

Prior to our trip I was really concerned about safety issues. I have to say I felt very safe and everyone on the island was so nice and helpful. Roatan Activies was also great to arrange paddles boards and Dawson was a great teacher for those of us who were paddle board challenged. All I can say about this trip is that it was the vacation of my dreams and I can't wait to take the rest of our family.

I wish there was a maybe button. The house we stayed at this time was ok but will go back to the yellow house next time. The beds really are not comfortable with no box spring and the bathrooms need to be redone. The house is painted nice and for the price its not bad but I personally would rather pay a few extra bucks if the upgrades were done. Had a great time though just for the record. best location in my opinion.

A wonderful vacation rental...!
The property was exactly for what needed. The location is the nearest place to the most wonderful beaches of Roatan and it has all the amenities we needed for a good stay.
