Wonderful Vacation Home in Paradise We stayed at the Pelican House for 2 weeks in April and were thrilled with our stay. The house is beautiful. The views are breathtaking! We hope to return to Roatan and will be staying at the Pelican House again!

Perfect location on West Bay We Loved the Monkey La La house. A very unique location as it's tucked away down a beautiful path surrounded by palms and a variety of flowering shrubs. Felt like we were in our own little neighborhood. We arrived the end of April so it was extremely quiet even though two large hotels are nearby. Just steps away from the most beautiful beach. Loved having our own house vs a hotel, we were able to cook some of our meals but mostly we had a very private balcony that we enjoyed. We love west bay, the snorkeling is amazing, walking distance to restaurants and just a short water taxi ride to west end. The local people are so gracious and sweet. Love coming to Roatan. Monkey La La was just what we were looking for. Thanks

Amazing home, beautifully furnished, great set up, stunning views and a porch you won't want to leave. This was our 5th trip to Roatan, we have stayed in Sandy Bay, West End and West Bay. This is the first time we stayed at Casa Martin and we loved everything about it. The home is beautifully furnished and has a great layout 3 bedrooms 3 full baths. It is very spacious and the main living area is open concept. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off after a swim or snorkeling. The kitchen is spacious enough for several people to cook a meal. The only thing lacking is no dishwasher. If you have a big crowd, having one certainly would allow you more time to play. The outside patio is awesome . It has amazing views and just enough privacy to make it perfect. We will definitely be back to rent this home again.

Charming bungalow a breath away from West Bay Beach They say it's location location location. During my most recent winter getaway to Roatan (my 5th in 2 years), my favorite tropical paradise, I tried out a West Bay vacation rental instead of my usual resort destination. No regrets, coyote. The space was quite suitable for my purposes and while initially a little overwhelmed by how small a space it was to share with someone else, it grew on me over the week I was there. Nice quiet neighbors, a 10 second walk to the beach and nestled right in the heart of West Bay, a great place to vacation.

Amazing Experience Being from Miami, I am used to being in a beach environment, but this was truly a fantastic experience. One of the most comfortable beach vacation homes I have ever stayed in. Location was second to none, view was spectacular. House was very spacious, great kitchen, large balcony, private bedrooms. Anyone going to Roatan needs to stay here!

Absolutely perfect Sunset House was the very best vacation house ever. Start your day with coffee on the dock and end the day with drinks watching the sunset - perfect. There was so much to do that the TV and the ipads never were used. Our granddaughters age 9 and 10 spend hours snorkeling up and down the beach and then swinging in the hammock or building sand castles. Blackie's dinner of coconut shrimp and chicken was delicious and of course key lime pie....Yum. We used the dive shop just a few yards up the beach towards West End and they did a great job with a refresher course for us. The girls loved the Dolphin Action Swim at Anthony's Key and did rate that #1 - the zip line came in second. Yoni the resident caretaker is a hugh asset if you have any questions.

Island House had a driver at the airport to pick us up and take us to the grocery store and then to the house. Being new to the island, that was a big help. Check in was quick and easy and then it was on to enjoying our vacation at Casa Martin.

Awesome Vacation Enjoyed every minute of Roatan. The house was spacious and clean. We had 3 couples and it was nice that each of us had our own full bathroom. West Bay Beach is nice because if you are the touristy type you can do all of the beach activities that you would normally find at the beach. Parasailing, fishing, canopy tours... We are from the beach so we weren't interested in most of those things. We came to relax and chill. And this place didn't disappoint. Cruise ships were in on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That made the beach a little more lively. But I enjoyed that aspect of it. Those folks didn't get to the area until 9:00 or so and they were typically gone by 3:00. That left us to enjoy the beautiful sunsets without the crowds. It was never crowded in front of West Bay Village. People would walk by on their way to snorkle but we basically had the beach in front to ourselves. Lunches out were a little difficult when the ships were in just because most of the places were fairly full. We typically ate lunch at the house and then ate dinners out. There is a charcoal grill at the house but we found charcoal itself was difficult to find. There are a fair amount of vendors that walk the beach selling their stuff. Didn't see too many things worth buying. The banana doughnut man was good. Just wish he would come by in the morning instead of the afternoon. There are also people selling empenadas that were really good. great for a quick and easy lunch. The vendors all seemed polite. A quick "no thank you" typically did the trick. Some would hang around longer than others. Gusto is the properties security guard. He would keep them moving along. Can't say enough good things about him. Super nice guy. I wish I could speak Spanish so I could have properly told him how much we enjoyed him being around. We tried to keep a cold Coke in his hand. Great guy. The only issue any of us had was a bout of stomach issues. I attribute that to being in a new environment that our bodies weren't accustomed to. Nothing serious, just an inconvenience. I've left a lot out and I know I've rambled and jumped from topic to topic but this really was one of the coolest places I've traveled. We really enjoyed every bit of it. If I can answer any questions for any "would be" Casa Martin or West Bay Village travelers, I'm happy to do so...

Beautiful decor, clean and updated with great view from patio and dipping pool. Lovely ocean view and within minutes by car) to West Bay Beach and West End. House is beautifully decorated and well stocked with anything you might want our need. Only one bedroom has a water view and one bedroom has no windows at all and was rather hot. The pool was smaller than we expected but was well used. (They had someone working on the jets but never got them working while we were there (Wed to Sat)...therefore it didn't really look like an infinity pool. Warning: the steps and decking around the pool are VERY slippery when wet. We had 3 falls (and no one was running!). My husband has a bruise the size of a cantaloupe on his bum! Brad said they had just painted. The semi private beach was nice and not far but was very rocky and definitely not a swimming beach.

A great week at Sunset house The location was great. We were right between West Bay and West End. Easy to walk or take the $3 water taxi. We rented the whole house. Everything was as described as by previous reviews. There is snorkeling about 1/4 mile out from the pier. The outside bar was equipped nicely, with an immaculate stainless steel grill. The only downside was a really musty smell in the lower 2 bedrooms. I brought this up to the management company and they said they would take care of it. The upstairs did not have this problem.

Watching the world go by! St. Mac's Upper Beach house is the perfect place to kick back, enjoy the beach, people watch and snorkel just a 2 minute walk away. The house is spacious and the upper deck with the 2 hammocks make you feel you never leave the beach. There is enough space to enjoy both family and friends while letting you have personal quiet time. Well stocked kitchen, spacious bedrooms each with a private deck if you need alone time. Literally 100 steps to the beach to beach chairs or to your nice shaded yard with chairs to watch the world go by. Many people return year after year to West Bay so are friendly and gather on the dock each night to toast another day and the setting of the sun. There is a group that walk every morning to do hill walks as well as beach walks. Has a community feel to the place indeed . There is a security guard 24 hours a day to assist you if needed. The Honduran people are very respectful of your private space so will not come on the property without an invitation to sell you anything. All the beach services are literally in front of you so you can take part or just find a chair and relax. A five minute walk back of the property is a lovely Java House and LALa's for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Within 2 minutes on the beach side you will find places to catch a drink or a snack. The snorkelling is fantastic and St. Mac's is right there! No need for longgg walks or water taxis to get to the snorkelling. We did mention to the rental agency about possibly upgrading the dishwasher and fridge but they are aware of these concerns. It was wonderful of the rental agency to ask us questions about likes and dislikes. St. Mac's is a gem for a great getaway!

Exceeded our Expectations We were impressed by the quality of furnishings and construction. The house was very well equipped, including peices for cooking. The only disadvantage would be the steep hill to get to town, but as far as the rental property itself, it was 5 star. There is a very nice beach just 3 minutes walk away.

Barefoot Dreams beach level is steps from the beach in a little enclave of rental homes on West Bay Beach. You will spend most of your time on the cozy porch, surrounded by Palms and other plants. The kitchen is well equipped, nice bathrooms (one ensuite), and a living, dining area. There is no better location in Roatan than West Bay Village and Barefoot Dreams is one of the 2 or 3 best properties in the village.

Beautiful Place, Romantic Vacaion My wife and I spent 2 wonderful weeks in the Beachfront apartment. Breakfast was usually on the patio with the soothing sounds of the waves in the backround. Lunch was either local fare or something we prepared, but the Burgers at The Blue Parrot in Sandy bay were the best! Sunsets were spent on the dock with new friends, and the best views you have ever seen. The Steaks at the Argentine Grille were well worth the 5 minute walk down the beach. The. nightly entertainment on the beach (including Firedancers!) was always fun. Watching the dive boats get ready first thing in the morning and early morning and late night walks on the beach were always rewarding. Guieremo the security guard was awesome! We also highly recommend the Cayos Cochinos trip, snorkeling with the dolphins at Anthony's Key, and you must pick up some awesome Roatan Rum from the Roatan Rum Factory just a few miles down the road. The Mango Rum is incredible! We keep coming back to this unit for good reason. Steps from the beach, but just far enough away for privacy.

THE BEST BEACH VACATION TO DATE this was our first trip ever to rotan and we found our own piece of treasure. it took many months of research to find the ideal place and spot to stay. i have to tell you all the research paid off, for Tortuga Beach House was the x...on the treasure map. I had the pleasure of dealing with michael, who address all my concers and also provided me with a wealth of information. he set it up where a guy picked us at the airport, that guy also came into our apartment one night and cooked a great meal.. Anyway, the apartment is in a little village with beautiful palm trees. Tortuga Beach is on the second level with a priceless view of the beach. my family and i have traveled to many far off destinations, but the combination of roatan and the tortuga beach house is perfect. the condo itself is very spacious and new. the kitchen is a true gourmet and great for entertaining. after wondering around the village, although all the units were nice tortuga beach was just a notch above the rest. I look foward in going back especially when the new roof-top deck was added. thanks for great vacation

Enjoyable Time to Reunite With Family I arrived from the West and my cousin arrived from the East, together we met at Roatan after not seeing each other for many years. Torgtuga gave us a 'home away from home' atmosphere. This new beach house includes numerous indoor amenities to make a relaxing holiday perfect (including an awesome housekeeper). Outdoor amenities include 24 hour security, groundskeepers and being steps from the world famous West Bay Beach. A pre-arranged driver was arranged for an airport pick up. With the help of the driver, groceries were purchased at a local supermarket. However, nightly supper was at one of many West Bay or West End restaurants/bars. Snorkelling on the reef right off the beach was incredible! The coral is so alive with colour and varieties of fish abundant. This property is vary spacious and CLEAN!

Roatan is paradise & this place made it even better. We've visited Roatan a number of time & always stayed in West Bay Village. This is a newer house so has all the comforts of home just a few steps from the best snokeling ever. My only caution has to do with the sand fleas. They have never been a problem in the past but I don't think the sand is raked as deeply and as close to the public beach area as it has been on our earlier visits. I got some very bad bites that caused extreme itching for days. If there is a spray that is effective, take it with you. I only got bites on the areas of my body that were not lying on the beach towel that covered my lounge chair so maybe that's the answer. In spite of that, this is my favorite place on earth!

Excellent Accommodation with great service. We spent 2 weeks in Gecko Loco over the holidays and loved it. The Island was wonderful with lots of activities nearby and the house was quite luxurious and well stocked. Without going more than a few minutes from the house we snorkeled, zip lined, went deep sea fishing, went horseback riding, swam at great beaches, and swam with dolphins. The house was very well kept with all of the amenities of home. We hope to return again one day.

The concierge, Junior, is awesome! He's friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help out in any way possible to make sure your trip is only the best. Halfway through our vacation we were loving it so much, we booked for the following year at St. Mac's Upper Level. We can't wait to get back there! Thank you to St. Mac's and Island House Roatan for an amazing trip!

AMAZING! Already booked to return. We didn't know what to expect when we arrived on Roatan. We further didn't know what to expect of the house. What we found was a gorgeous beach house that literally sat on the sands of the beach with the calm, blue waters of the ocean right in front. The house was clean, modern, and absolutely charming. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck that overlooked the beach - sleeping in the hammocks, reading under the ceiling fans that provided a cool breeze, or eating our meals at the table. The beach is lined with fun activities, bars, and restaurants. Dive shops are scattered around and easily accessible for incredible dives all day long. Or you can just walk into the water, swim out a little bit, and be in perfect snorkeling spots. The house was located in a little beach village called West Bay Village. A security guard stood at the beach entrance 24/7 and a closed gate was located on the back end. The village was well kept. Island House Roatan, the vacation rental agency, was very helpful and on hand at any time during the day.

Monkey Lala rocks !!!! The house was a dream !! Much better than what we imagined from pictures at the web site. Comfortable, well provided, decorated with taste and lots of local pieces of art and crafts. Thoughtful owners expected us with very much appreciated gifts upon arrival, thanks guys for the beautiful flowers and the cold Barenas!!!!. Definitely we will recommend the Monkey Lala as "the place" to stay when visiting Roatan. Way much better than one of the resorts or condos next door.

Amazing Beach House My family of 4 (2 kids) stayed at Tortuga the last week of August - and thought it was a fantastic place to stay in West Bay! The property was clean, nicely decorated and well maintained. My kids fought daily over the walk-in shower in the 2nd bedroom. I had initially thought the tile floors throughout was a little odd - but after our first day in the water I realized the tile was a huge benefit - especially with kids! It's only a few steps to the best beach on Roatan - beautiful sand and only a short swim out to the reef. There are lots of restaurants in easy walking distance of West Bay Village - and a small shopping center nearby with a coffee/wine bar, small grocery, ATM and souvenir shop. The water taxi dock is also very close. We only got to enjoy the deck a little bit due to the hot temperatures - but it was great spot to set out our beach gear, and has amazing views of the water!

This beautiful vacation rental had all the comforts & conveniences of home, a few steps from West Bay beach. We knew nothing about Roatan, but were happy to discover this incredible beach & snorkeling destination. Being from NY, the travel time is long, but worth the effort. Because it is low season in August, West Bay was practically deserted, except when a few cruise ships stopped by. The weather was excellent - high 80s. The water was calm which was ideal for snorkeling from the beach - and trying Stand-up Paddle boards for the first time. For those who have to spend some time working remotely, the picturesque setting plus wifi made for a relaxing workplace.
